The Art of Photography: From Capture to Print

At Chuck Wood Photography, we believe that creating a truly compelling image is a journey that extends far beyond the initial click of the camera. While capturing the perfect moment is crucial, it's only the beginning of our artistic process.

For us, the magic truly happens when we bring these digital captures to life in physical form. The process of printing an image on paper is a transformative experience that adds depth, texture, and a tangible quality to our work. It's this final step that allows us to fully realize our artistic vision and share it with the world in its most impactful form.

Our Printing Process

Every Artist's Series print is personally created in our studio using state-of-the-art professional inkjet printers. We take great pride in overseeing every step of the printing process, ensuring that each image meets our exacting standards for quality and artistic integrity.

Materials of Distinction

  • Paper: We use only museum-quality papers that are designed to stand the test of time.

  • For Color Prints: Canson Infinity Plantine Rag paper, chosen for its exceptional color rendition and archival properties.

  • For Black and White Prints: Canson Baryta Photographic II paper, selected for its deep blacks and nuanced tonal range.

  • Inks: We use only the finest pigment inks, ensuring your print will maintain its vibrancy for generations to come.

Limited Edition Prints

Each image in our Artist's Series is offered as a limited edition print. This exclusivity ensures that your piece remains a rare and valuable work of art. Every print is meticulously:

  • Titled

  • Signed

  • Numbered

For prints sold matted and framed, we extend this personal touch by also titling, signing, and numbering the mat itself, creating a truly unique piece.

Framing Options

We understand that choosing the right frame is a personal decision that can significantly impact the presentation of your print. To assist you in showcasing your new piece, we offer high-quality framing options:

  • Frame Material: Solid wood, 3/4" x 3/4" profile

  • Color Options:

    • Clear maple (recommended for color images)

    • Dark charcoal (ideal for black and white images)

  • Matting: White mat, cut to complement the image

  • Glass: UV non-glare acrylic, providing protection without compromising visibility

Rest assured, we use only archival quality materials and methods in our framing process, ensuring the longevity of your artwork.
