Sacred Langur 2025

from $50.00

LIMITED EDITION PRINT -The Sacred Langur is a medium sized primate that inhabits the forests of northern India south of the Himalayas.  More prosaically referred to as the Northern Plains Gray Langur, the Sacred Langur figures prominently in Hindu religion where it is considered to be the earthly embodiment of Hanuman, the monkey god.  As such, it is seen as a bridge between the earthly and spiritual realms.  Photographed in Ranthambore National Park, India.
